Recipe for Homemade Shaved Ice & Snow Cone Flavor

Creating your own homemade shaved ice flavor can be difficult, but our shaved ice syrup directions will walk you through the process step-by-step. This sno cone syrup recipe will show you how to make Alaskan Shaved Ice™.

Instructions for Making Homemade Snow Cone Syrup

1. Add one ounce of Alaskan Shaved Ice™ Preservative for every gallon of simple syrup in a mixing container.
2. Stir thoroughly.
3. Now, add ¼ ounce of Alaskan Shaved Ice™ Sour Shot for every gallon in the container.
4. Stir well.

Note: It is IMPORTANT that each ingredient (preservative & sour shot) is added separately and mixed thoroughly between adding each ingredient. Adding both ingredients at the same time will cause the preservative to solidify!

Recipe for Making Homemade Snow Cone Syrups from Concentrates

To make ready-to-use syrups with any of our liquid concentrates follow these instructions:

1. Shake all flavor concentrates well before using.
2. Add 1 ounce of flavor concentrate to an empty quart bottle.
3. If making a gallon of flavor, add 4 ounces of concentrate to an empty gallon jug.
4. Fill the quart bottle or gallon jug with simple syrup. Cap and gently shake.

If measured correctly, adding Alaskan Shaved Ice™ "Preservative" and "Sour Shot" to your snow cone syrup recipe can extend the shelf life for around 6-9 months.
